Design solution
The IPS technical team, in coordination with the school management, identified a proposal that considered both educational play value and the management of accessibility and safety within the play area. In light of the planned budget for the installation of six play structures, it was decided to follow a modular implementation approach in multiple phases.
The first phase focused on securing the entire internal courtyard area, including full safety flooring in anti-shock rubber and the installation of two play structures. Foundation points were also prepared for a future completion phase.
The second phase addressed the nursery area, covering most of the play space with anti-shock flooring. The third phase introduced a dedicated educational zone and installed specific play activities for nursery-aged children.
A fourth upcoming phase will include the installation of additional play structures already planned for the courtyard. To date, three out of the four planned phases have been completed.
Value
The inclusive upgrade of the play areas has allowed the “S. Giuseppe” School to stand out among early childhood education centers in the area, attracting more families and offering an enhanced service aligned with the needs of today’s parents.
Funding
The school benefited from funding by a banking foundation, obtained through a recurring grant program. The remaining amount was covered by a dedicated private donation.
